Time For A Fiesta!

It’s National Taco Day!

If this isn’t a cause for celebration, I don’t know what is! We love tacos here at The Kitchen Chalkboard. Our typical meal is the standard ground beef or turkey with the Old El Paso Taco Seasoning and all the fixings. If you are left with taco meat, we have some excellent ways to make it into another meal!

Sometimes, we stray from the original recipe, so if you want to eat less meat or change up your taco game, check out these Baja Fish Tacos from Once Upon A Chef. They are delicious! My fish-hating youngest loves it.

Try homemade tortillas if your taco game is already strong and you want to take it to the next level. We started this summer, and it’s a game changer. Lard is a large part of tortilla recipes; if you are unfamiliar, check out everything you need to know about this fat.

Here’s what’s cooking this week.

That’s all for now. As always, connect with me on Facebook or Pinterest or reply to this email; I'd love to hear from you.

See you next week!
